The ever changing digital world must be utilized in all areas of education. Technology can and will play a tremendous role in helping those with learning disabilities. Technology must be used to help those whom need help the most. Using technology in special education would have tremendous benefits for students. Students in special education who will one day be independent must know how to use technology in order to live in today's society. It is mandatory to prepare them for the future.
Various tools for example software could be installed on computers to help students with the learning process. If one tool works extremely well for one student and another tool works well for a different student its perfectly fine. The students gain the same knowledge but in different ways. This more personalized education creates a better comprehension of classroom materials and helps teachers greatly. Technology must be integrated in special education classroom the same as every other, it is our job as educators to make sure this is being done and we are helping every student to the fullest of our ability.
